Tsoukernik worked in 1991 as an assistant for an antique business in Toronto, Canada. In 1993 he left Canada as an independent antiquity businessman, and he relocated to Prague, Czech Republic. He owned two antique stores in Prague and another two stores in Washington D.C. and New York City by 1993. He has attended international exhibitions in Palm Beach, Dallas and New York City. As a prominent salesman of Biedermeier furniture at the time, he met Adam Brown and Andrea Zemelová. This eventually led to the foundation of an international antiquity company the Antik New York in 1999.
Among his customers are celebrities such as Tom Cruise, Jackie Chan, Madeleine Albright, Václav Havel, Ronald Lauder and Paloma Picasso.
Tsoukernik opened the King’s Casino in Rozvadov on June 26, 2003 and is currently also the owner of the Casino Admiral in Rozvadov and the King’s Casino Prague. In 2017 the King’s Casino Rozvadov was renamed into King’s Resort after adding a new Fabergé-inspired casino area and a new 5-star hotel with a wellness center and Thai-massage parlor.
The World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) is taking place at King’s Resort annually since 2017 and the EPT Prague takes place annually at the King’s Casino Prague.
Leon Tsoukernik ist a professional poker player, who participates regularly in global high-roller tournaments and high stakes cash games.
Some of his biggest tournament successes:
- Winner of the 2016 EPT Prague Super High Roller, winning €741,100
- 4th-place in the 2017 Super High Roller Bowl at Aria, winning $1.8 Million
- Winner of the €100,000 Short Deck tournament after Heads-Up with Phil Ivey, winning €1.1 Million.
As of May 2021, Tsoukernik has won $4.936 million in live tournament earnings.
